Remote Viewing – How To | 5 Simple Techniques

What is Remote Viewing?

How to Remote View

Remote Viewing (or “RV”) is the ability of seeing or describing the events which are at a far distance that are inaccessible by normal view.

Remote viewers access the target details by using their extrasensory perception or by their intuition powers under controlled conditions. They give the details of the perceived material not only by verbal communication but also communicates in writing and sketches.

Remote Viewing is sometimes related to clairvoyance, a psychic ability to perceive information clearly, that cannot be seen by normal senses. But there are some differences between the two.

Difference Between Remote Viewing and Clairvoyance

Remote viewing is based on the scientific approach and is done under controlled lab conditions. Whereas, clairvoyance is not controlled by any conditions and there are no formats to follow.

Having a psychic ability may help for Remote viewing, but it is not necessary for a person to be a psychic. Whereas clairvoyance is a psychic phenomenon.

Clairvoyant uses a psychic eye, what is called a “Third Eye” to receive information clearly. Whereas, Remote viewing does not use a third eye to gather details of the target. It uses specific techniques.

History of Remote Viewing

Remote viewing traces back to Greek history in 6th century B.C., but modern RV has its roots in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s.

A number of experiments were done at American Society for Psychical Research (ASPR) by psychical researcher, Ingo Swann. These experiments made Swann to team up with Dr. Harold E. “Hal” Puthoff, a physicist at the Stanford Research Institute (SRI) think tank, and soon a number of other members to conduct a series of sophisticated experiments, developing the approach that Ingo Swann had named “Remote Viewing”.

The success in the experiments done by Swann and Puthoff attracted the attention of Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). The agency had brought some projects to Swann and in some cases the results were amazing. This made CIA to come back again and again for more projects and established a connection between the two for more research contracts.

However, in 1970’s, remote viewing was figured as being speculative and controversial. This made CIA to pass the program to US Air Force and Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) under the name called “Grill Flame”. In 1977, US Army began its own program and in 1979, this was moved under “Grill Flame Umbrella”.

This program was continued under Army sponsorship until 1986, then transferred to DIA. DIA changed its name to “Sun Streak” and later in early 1990’s the name changed to “Star Gate”.

In the year 1995, congress transferred the responsibility of Star Gate program back to CIA. During that year, CIA declassified the portions of the program and released a controversial report saying that RV was not a useful tool for an intelligence collection. Thus, remote viewing was discontinued.

The prospects of RV are still present and so the persons previously associated with it have published many books, given media interviews and even giving training in Remote Viewing.

Some Applications of Remote Viewing

Some practical and possible uses of remote viewing are as follows:

  • Location and condition of a missing person
  • Unsolved criminal cases
  • Historical Information
  • Health issues and Medical Diagnosis
  • Research developments
  • Possible solutions to problems
  • And Many More..

Types of Remote Viewing

Various types of remote viewing are practiced in today’s world which are given below:

  • Extended Remote Viewing (ERV)
  • Associative Remote Viewing (ARV)
  • Generic Remote Viewing (GRV)
  • Controlled Remote Viewing (CRV)
  • Technical Remote Viewing (TRV)
  • Scientific Remote Viewing (SRV)

How to Remote View

To Remote View, you must have a clear and quite mind without any stress. Though remote viewing does not need a psychic ability, it needs a good practice before you actually perform it.

Before discussing how to do remote viewing, you must follow some rules or tips given below to master the techniques of remote viewing.

  • Meditation: A deep state of relaxation is required for remote viewing. Meditation is the one which gives you this. It is the most important and necessary practice for developing remote viewing and any other psychic ability.

You must practice meditation to keep your mind calm and healthy mental state. A relaxed mind is required to train the subconscious mind to access the information from a distance without any disturbances.

  • Being in the Moment: Spend your time everyday being in the moment. Observe the surroundings and things around you. Notice everything around you including smell, colors and sounds. See how you feel in different places and sense the information you get.

The more time you spend, the more sensitive you become to access the information.

  • Scientific Process: While remote viewing, your experiments must be conducted according to scientific rules. For example, your tests must be blind and you should not be able to receive any hints from your assistant about the target. You must not able to guess where your partner is.

  • Patience: Learning remote viewing is not an easy job unless you have patience. You have to cross many failure attempts before succeeding in this art. Have fun and believe that the more you practice, the better the results.

5 Simple Remote Viewing Techniques

After you have followed the above steps, now it’s time to learn remote viewing with these 5 simple and easy techniques.

1. Choose the Target

Select one of your friends or a family member to assist you in remote viewing experiment. Ask them to select some images may be 5 or 10 (Initially select only few images as a beginner. Once you are success, you can go for more images.) and seal them in different envelopes. The idea is that in no way you can see them. Tell your assistant not to give any clue regarding the images selected.

The images selected must be from a real world such as nature, people or architecture. Cartoon pictures must not be selected. Also, tell your assistant not to select images that gives negative feelings such as offensive pictures.

You can also experiment by sending your assistant far from you, so that he is not visible to you. May be outside the building and ask them to do some simple activity such as doing exercise, writing or playing with something.

If you do not have assistant, you can just focus on the weather the other side or somewhere far from you and confirm with the results you get.

For all the experiments given above, you need some tools in handy to record your findings. Paper and pen to write or draw your findings, voice recorder device to record if you have to say anything, are the tools required.

2. Perceive the Target

The next step is to receive the information. As mentioned above, keeping your mind in a relaxed state is essential to receive messages from the target. You can close your eyes and relax your mind to access the information.

Initially, you may receive some cloudy information which is not clear. But with practice and patience, you will get the details of the target either in symbols or pictures.

Remember that your subconscious mind already knows the information at the target. It has to be trained so that it will communicate with your conscious mind in the form of feelings or sensations.

Imagine or visualize yourself at the target area and try to perceive the details. My favorite way – what is called a “Bird’s Eye View”- Imagine yourself floating above the target area several feet away and trying to see and receiving the information.

Now, start writing or recording whatever glimpses you get and do not try to second guess. In this state, your subconscious mind has to work. If you try to second guess, your conscious mind will act and gives you false readings. So, do not judge anything and record whatever you feel.

3. Adding More Data

Now, open your eyes if it is closed and look over the results. Notice any immediate reactions or feelings you may get and write them too. Record everything you want to, whether it is a strange sketch or some vague data.

Again, do not try to interpret or judge the findings. Write whatever you feel. You can interpret the results once you are finished with all your findings.

4. Rinse and Repeat

Now you have your first round of information. It’s time to repeat the process to get your second round of information for more accurate results.

If you find yourself exhausted after the first round, take some rest and go ahead for the second round. Repeat the steps 2 & 3 above with the same set of tools – Paper, Pen & Voice recorder or you can also use slime and play-dough for making shapes.

5. Interpret the Results

Now you can start interpreting your results with your conscious mind. Look over the data you recorded and see what it means to you. What is the overall impression you get?

Once you have interpreted your results, check your results with the actual target. Are you able to perceive the information correctly? How close is your findings with the actual target? Are you able to describe the weather over there?

Save all your data along with the time, date for future reference. Also note your feelings, reactions, surroundings and everything you want to. Keeping your data will help you developing RV skills further.

Final Words

Remote viewing is a skill which cannot be learned within a day or two. Like any other true skill, you need practice and perseverance to master the skill.

Most important thing to keep in mind is have fun with the experiments and let go.
